London, 22-24 January 2018 – Minister Mohamad Nasir presented the vision, mission and program of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education in order to prepare the young Indonesian generation to face the 4th Industrial Revolution. He did that at The World Education Forum 2018 in London.
Minister Nasir invited the best universities in the world to work together with the Government of Indonesia in improving the quality of higher education institutions in Indonesia.
He emphasized that the success of Indonesia to lead young people to face the Industrial Revolution 4.0, is determined by the quality of lecturers, teachers, and other educators.
Indonesia welcomes foreign higher education institutions, who are willing to cooperate in developing ‘cyber universities’ in Indonesia, as well as developing an online learning system.
On the sidelines, the Minister also held a bilateral meeting with the British Ambassador to Indonesia,H.E. Moazzam Malik who proposed to establish the first Indonesian Higher Education Committee in May 2018. Hethen also held a dialogue with representatives of the Student Association of Indonesia in London & participant of Leaders in Innovation Fellowship.
